Montgomery Gray Girls Softball League is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide a safe and healthy recreation outlet for as many girls as possible. The league is a franchised member of Dixie Softball, Inc.
The Montgomery Gray Softball League is a civic project founded solely in the interests of girls who participate in the Montgomery Gray League. Its name was derived from the Montgomery Gray Babe Ruth League in 1974 when it was abolished in favor of the Dixie Boys and Majors Baseball. The Girls Softball Division of the League was formed in 1980 and incorporated under Dixie Softball, Inc. in 1982. In October, 1989, the Dixie Boys and Pre-Majors/Majors withdrew from the Montgomery Gray League and it became the "Montgomery Gray Girls Softball League."
